On 19th September 2021 a volcano began to erupt on the Spanish island of La Palma. For 85 days, the lava flow destroyed whole villages and banana plantations.

7000 people were evacuated from their homes and more than 700 houses disappeared beneath the lava.

This documentary tells some of the human stories of the people behind the catastrophe, whose lives changed from that day on.
